Constitutional Recognition of Council

Many Councils around Australia believe that the time is right to recognise Local Government under our Constitution. At present only State and Federal Governments are recognised. This limits the capacity of local governements such as Dorset to play a full and proper role in the delivery of services to local communities with direct support from the Federal Government.
