Council monitors the quality of its drinking water supplies and provides advice to the public on this matter.
- Environmental Water Quality
Council is involved in environmental monitoring programs. Most programs provide data on water quality and the potential impact of development that may affect the surrounding environment (e.g. recreational water, point source environmental discharges).
- Sharps Disposal
Private needle users, such as diabetics, can obtain sharps containers from Council at reduced rates.
- Complaints
Council's Public & Environmental Health Officer and Technical Officer are available to discuss and investigate any Public Health and Environmental complaint.
- Disease Control
Council's EHO investigates cases of notifiable disease, and regulated activities that have the potential to impact on public health (e.g. swimming pools, ear piercing etc.)
