| Welcome to the Dorset Council Web Site. Dorset Council works to improve the quality of life of the people of Dorset through the provision of services based on the principles of quality, equity, value and responsiveness. Dorset is a vibrant community of natural living for today and tomorrow. In this context Dorset takes its responsibilities to the natural environment very seriously, so please do not litter Dorset. With the support of the Federal Government, Dorset has launched Tasmania's first NBN Community Digital Hub. The hub will provide training and support to help you use new technology no matter how old or how young you are. Contact Judy Barnett on jbarnett@dorset.tas.gov.au or 03 6352 6522 for details of all the hubs plans and suggestions for any training you may like. Dorset is now home to Tasmania's biggest wind farm development at Musselroe Bay. This is a another opportunity to connect Dorset to the future. If you have any questions about the wind farm or want to find out more click here. During 2012 Dorset Council is a proud supporter of the Australian Year of the Farmer. For information about the national celebration click here. For local information go to What's On under the Fast Find menu or contact Jan Hughes Ph (03) 6352 3723. We hope this site can assist you in your dealings with Council as well as providing useful links to other sites of interest to the Dorset Municipality.
