This project is to demolish and reconstruct the public amenities block situated adjacent to Eastmans Beach and within the Bridport Seaside Caravan Park (BSCP).

The amenities block is set to undergo significant improvement with the new development containing 4 public access toilets, 1 public and disabled access toilet/shower, 1 public access ambulant shower and 1 ambulant shower that will only be accessible to guests of the BSCP.

Council is currently waiting to receive the appropriate consent to commence the works and it is anticipated works will be able to commence by early to mid-March. The works are anticipated to be complete by end of May, weather permitting.
Works will generally take place between the hours of 7am – 5pm from Monday to Friday, with some minor works taking place on Saturdays as required. The worksite will be fenced so as to prevent entry by the public, and directional signage will be installed to assist guests to find the closest alternative amenities block during the works period. (Old Pier - 1km , Bridport Lions Adventure Playground - 450m).

It is acknowledged that the works will be underway during two peak periods at the BSCP, being Easter long weekend and potentially also the March long weekend depending on when works can commence. Unfortunately this was unavoidable due to the nature of the soil profile and the need to complete works prior to the weather becoming too inclement.

Council will make every effort to minimise disruption and inconvenience to guests of the BSCP during this period and look forward to the delivery of the project which will result in improved amenities and accessibility for guests and for the broader community.

This project is fully funded under phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program.
