Brid River Bridge Replacement and Main St Upgrade Stage 1

 

This project consists of replacing the existing bridge on the same alignment and reconstruction of Main St from Ada St 420m north.

BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENTS

 

The replacement of the existing bridge has 3 distinct construction stages.  Each stage will require specific Traffic Management arrangements

 

Stage 1

Removal of upstream section of existing bridge and construction of upstream section of new bridge.

Traffic movement during this stage:

            Inbound – By Pass

            Outbound – Downstream section of old bridge

 

Stage 2

Removal of downstream section of existing bridge and construction of downstream section of new bridge.

Traffic movement during this stage:

            Inbound – By Pass

            Outbound – Upstream section of new bridge

 

Stage 3 – Duration Approximately 1 Week

Construction of running surface on new bridge

Traffic Movements during this stage:

            Inbound – By Pass

            Outbound – By Pass

During this stage traffic movements will be controlled by Traffic Lights

 

Note – Specific activities such as placement of pre cast beams, demolition of old structure will require all traffic movements via the bypass to ensure public and site personnel safety.  Generally there single lane operations will be during working hours however on occasion single lane operation will extend overnight.
