Easing of COVID-19 Restrictions

The following information is based upon advice received from the Tasmanian Government and Public Health with a staged easing of restrictions being implemented over the coming weeks.

The following facilities or services are now open, with restrictions:

  • Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails (incl. the new Branxholm Link Trail) - open to visitors statewide from Friday, 5 June  (Stage 2)
  • Public Play Grounds - open for up to 20 people from Friday, 5 June (Stage 2)
  • Recreation Facilities for training only - subject to Return to Play plans - from Monday, 25 May (Stage 1 & 2)
  • Community Halls and Council owned buildings from Friday, 5 June (Stage 2)
  • Council owned FREE camping grounds (Northeast Park, Branxholm, Derby) and amenities from Friday, 5 June (Stage 2)
  • Bridport Seaside Caravan Park and amenities from Friday, 5 June (Stage 2)
  • RV Parks (Ringarooma and Winnaleah) from Friday, 5 June (Stage 2)
  • Scottsdale Waste Transfer Station Tip Shop 

All facilities or services listed above are subject to social distancing requirements and facilities (both indoor and outdoor) must also comply with the 4sqm per person restriction.  This list is also subject to change upon advice from the Tasmanian Government and/or Public Health.  Detailed information can be found on the Tasmanian Coronvirus website here which is updated regularly.
