Department of State Growth Remote Truck Signs Replacement

From Wednesday 13 January until Friday 29 January 2021, the Department of State Growth will be completing road work to allow for the installation of new sign infrastructure on the Tasman Highway near the Sideling.

During the road work, lanes will not be closed however motorists are asked to follow all traffic management instructions.

The signs require replacement because the technology that triggers the signs to flash (indicating heavy vehicles travelling nearby) is not working reliably and cannot be adequately updated due to the surrounding terrain. The new replacement signs will be static warning signs indicating a narrow road.
