Council is inviting submissions from the community regarding the new draft Policy 63 – Event Funding and associated guidelines.
Council endorsed the draft Policy 63 – Event Funding for public consultation at the 16 September Council Meeting.
The Policy outlines Council’s position on supporting events by providing funding and will be underpinned by Event Funding Program Guidelines which will provide transparent and clear criteria for event organisers seeking financial or in-kind support from Council to deliver events in the municipality.
The Policy and Guidelines will provide a framework for Council’s Events Funding Program and will provide for any future expansion of the program if the need is identified.
Copies of the proposed policy and guidelines, along with the Council agenda report, can be downloaded below. Council invites the community to make submissions on the proposed policy and guidelines by 5pm, Wednesday 16 October 2024 via the feedback form below, by emailing dorset@dorset.tas.gov.au or by writing to Dorset Council, PO Box 21, Scottsdale 7260.
