Playground Design Competition and Feedback open!

PLAYGROUND DESIGN COMPETITION

What makes the perfect playground? Is it a simple swing set or a tree to lay under in the shade? Is a playground not a playground without a slide? Maybe you have a playground you visit regularly and it's perfect just the way it is?

Dorset Council is calling for all Kinder to Grade 12 students to design the most awesome playground or playground feature they can think of. The winning entry will be the most creative with a $150 gift voucher on offer for each category winner and a $50 gift voucher for each of the runners up.

Age categories are as follows:

• Kinder to Grade 2
• Grade 3 to Grade 6
• Grade 7 to Grade 12

Entries should be a maximum of A4 in size with the format completely up to you! You could draw your design, paint it, build it and/or photograph it - get creative!!

You are asked to include a short paragraph describing your entry. All entries will be judged anonymously by Commissioner Wardlaw with the winners announced mid December.

Please note:

• Judges decision is final
• All entries will be utilised to inform future options for Dorset Council playground redevelopments
• One entry per person
• Age category winners will be published on the Dorset Council website

PLAYGROUND FEEDBACK SURVEY

This survey is open for everyone - we want to hear from parents, grandparents, carers, kids and any other interested community members!

There will be two (2) lucky draw prizes on offer of a $50 gift voucher each.
