Direct Debit
You are able to pay your rates on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis with Council's Direct Debit option. Council offer 'by instalment' as a Direct Debit option when paying rates. Download the Direct Debit Application Form here, and return it to Council. Contact Council offices on 03 6352 6500 for further information on how to pay Rates via Direct Debit.
To terminate an existing Direct Debit Arrangement, download the Direct Debit Termination Form here and return it to Council.
PLEASE NOTE: If your direct debit is dishonoured for any reason, Council will charge a $10 dishonour fee to recoup fees charged by banking institutions.
Internet Payments
You can pay online via the Service Tasmania website. You will need the Billpay Code and Reference provided on the back of your notice as shown below:
BPAY
Contact your bank, credit union or building society to make this payment from your cheque, savings or credit card account. The Biller code and your reference number can be found on your notice.
Payment in Person
Council Office - 3 Ellenor Street, Scottsdale - Present your notice with your payment to the cashier at the Scottsdale office, 3 Ellenor Street, Scottsdale. Office hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Credit Card and EFTPOS facilities are available.
Australia Post - Payments may be made in Person at any Australia Post outlet Australia wide. Simply present your notice with the Post Billpay details to the Australia Post cashier.
Service Tasmania Shops - Payment in person at any Service Tasmania shop can be made using cash, cheque, debit, Visa or Mastercard. Simply present your notice.
