This project is to install pedestrian crossings in key areas across Dorset (Scottsdale and Bridport):

1. Scottsdale

Consultation complete. Waiting on comprehensive pedestrian scheme to inform planning and designs.

2. Bridport

Consultation complete. 40k shopping zone implemented on Main Street. Construction of pedestrian crossing completed on Main Street.

This project has been funded by the Vulnerable Road User Program, Tasmanian Government and Dorset Council.

Scottsdale Pedestrian Safety Initiatives

- George Street: removal of the existing kerb outstands and the installation of a centre pedestrian refuge (island) at the existing RSL pedestrian crossing point.

- King Street: installation of a raised platform pedestrian crossing (flat top speed hump) at the existing post office pedestrian crossing point.
