The North East Tasmanian Lapidary Club (NETLC) is situated in the Old Courthouse building, Main St. Derby. The club has a range of lapidary equipment including 4 cabbing machines, flat lap, big saw, trim saw, 2 faceting machines and a large display of local gems. It is usually open to members and visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays 10-4pm

Derby Community Development Association
The DCDA is a grassroots community group that has been working for the betterment of Derby and the local area since 1976. The group support various charities and initiatives and supplies and maintains the Derby AED device. The group also operates the School House Museum, North East Lapidary Club and restores and maintains the historic recreation grounds grandstand.
