Swimming Pools

The Dorset region has two public swimming pools, one located in Scottsdale and the other in Branxholm, to enjoy on a hot summers day!

Scottsdale Aquatic Centre

The newly developed $7million Scottsdale Aquatic Centre opened to the public on 4 December 2021.

Free to the public and open 7 days a week, the Scottsdale Aquatic Centre features an 8 lane 25 metre pool, learners pool, toddlers pool for children and Tasmania's largest outdoor Water Park with two 4 metre slides, slides for the little ones, water dumpbuckets and more.

Morning lap swimming sessions will be open twice a week and a dedicated Parents, Babies, Mature and Special Needs closed session. While you are the Scottsdale Aquatic Centre you will be able to grab a coffee and ice-cream or new goggles from the Kiosk.
