Rates & Property

Rates are issued in July each year. Council introduced 4 instalment payment options in 2013/2014. In the 2015/2016 financial year, Council agreed to remove the 2% discount offered in previous years. Below are information brochures that are mailed with the rate demand and outline how your rates are calculated and also what services are provided by rates paid.

Would you like to receive your rates notice by email?

Property owners in the Dorset Council area can register an email address and 'Opt in' to receive their Rates Notices electronically.  Click here for more information and to sign up.

 

Have you moved?

If you have moved or changed your address, please complete the change of address form here, and return to the Council Offices.
