Road Closure | Barnbougle Road Bridge Replacement

Public Notices

Motorists are advised that Barnbougle Road will be closed from 7:00 am on Monday, 14 September until 5:00 pm on Friday, 18 September 2026, to enable the replacement of the existing Barnbougle Road Bridge with a durable concrete structure.

Road Closure | Barnbougle Road Bridge Replacement

The road closure will extend for approximately 500m on either side of the Barnbougle Road Bridge, as shown in the map below and the works are subject to weather conditions. 

The new bridge is expected to provide a service life of 80–100 years, improving the long-term safety and resilience of the road network.
