The review incorporated feedback from Councillors, the Executive Leadership Team, and the General Manager’s direct reports, all of which reflected a high level of satisfaction with the General Manager’s performance over the past year.
“The results of this review demonstrate that the General Manager is providing effective leadership and delivering strong outcomes for our organisation and community,” the Mayor said. “Council is very pleased with the current performance and appreciates the stability and consistency this brings.”
Annual performance reviews are an important governance mechanism, ensuring Councillors formally assess, manage, and monitor the General Manager’s performance each year. This process supports transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
The Mayor also noted that the General Manager’s contract was renewed for a further five years in mid‑2025, providing long-term stability for Council, its workforce, and the wider community.
“Having a clear and consistent leadership direction is vital for progressing Council’s priorities,” the Mayor added. “This review confirms that we are on the right track.”
