Briefing of Decisions made at the Council Meeting held on 14 April 2025 at the Council Chambers, Scottsdale

Tabled the By-Elections Certificate of Election issued by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission, dated 1 April 2025 and noted the Declaration of Office made by newly elected Councillor and Mayor, Rhys Beattie, dated 2 April 2025.
Acting as a Planning Authority, refused a planning application for the construction of multiple dwellings (2 units) with works within the road reserve at 190 Davies Road, Scottsdale.
Received and noted the Dorset Board of Inquiry Directions Quarterly Progress Report for the period 23 January to 31 March 2025.
Received and noted the 2024/25 Annual Plan March Quarterly Report and approved that Activity 25 and 26 be carried forward to the 2025/26 Plan, and that these activities be excluded from the 2024/25 achievement result.
Adopted the Dorset Council Weed Management Plan 2025 – 2030.
Adopted revised Policy No. 55 – Mobile Food Vendor.
Appointed Councillor representatives to a number of committees until the end of the current elected term in 2026.
