The project recently commenced with the appointment of lead consultant Kinscope. Kinscope was selected following a highly competitive procurement process that attracted 12 high-quality submissions. The consultancy brings extensive experience in regional communities and a strong passion for creating vibrant, resilient and people-focused places.
The Scottsdale Master Plan will provide a long-term strategic framework to guide investment, enhance the town centre, improve public spaces and support economic development opportunities, while retaining the unique character and identity that makes Scottsdale a valued place to live, work and visit.
Acting General Manager Jayne Miller said the project represents a significant opportunity for the community to have a direct role in defining Scottsdale's future.
"The Scottsdale Master Plan will establish a clear vision for the town and identify practical actions to support its growth and prosperity over the coming years," Ms Miller said.
"This project is about understanding what matters most to our community, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring we have a roadmap that guides future investment and development in a way that reflects local values and aspirations."
The project will be undertaken in partnership with the community, local businesses, service providers and key stakeholders. Over the coming months, residents will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, provide feedback and help shape the direction of the Master Plan.
Council encourages all community members to get involved and participate in the engagement process as opportunities become available.
Further information about the project, including engagement activities and project updates, will be provided via the Project Page.
