As part of the recovery response to the extreme weather event that occurred between 30 August and 2 September 2024, the Tasmanian Government has announced that gate fees usually charged to the public for the types waste resulting from that extreme weather event will be waived until 30 November 2024.

As part of the recovery response to the extreme weather event that occurred between 30 August and 2 September 2024, the Tasmanian Government has announced that gate fees usually charged to the public for the types waste resulting from that extreme weather event will be waived until 30 November 2024. The waiver will be in place for eligible waste received at the Scottsdale, Branxholm and Gladstone waste transfer stations until 30 November 2024. A fact sheet has been prepared to provide guidance to customers regarding what types of waste will be eligible for free disposal during that period, which can be found at the link below.
