Scottsdale Childrens Reserve | Playground Consultation Results
With an overwhelming 76% of the vote we are pleased to announce that Option 3: Finley was the winner!!
A huge thank you to the 106 community members who took the time to provide their feedback – special shout out to our mini subject matter experts down at Scottsdale Early Learning Centre for providing their expert opinions.
Finley will provide the centrepiece of the playground upgrade with a number of other upgrades to occur including installation of a 5m cable rider and an upgrade to the swing set. Please note: The rope pyramid and toddler car / shop pieces will remain at the playground.
Removal of the existing equipment piece and installation of the new piece is expected to occur in the new year around March/April.
The Winnaleah, Branxholm and Scottsdale Children’s Reserve playgrounds were identified as being of high priority for upgrades due to aging equipment, key municipal locations and/or gaps in equipment for targeted age groups during a recent Playground Facility Audit. The upgrades planned have been made possible thanks to the $200,000 funding obtained from Round 1 of the Open Spaces Grants Program.
