What an incredible effort, Dorset!
Tasmania is embracing container recycling in a big way, with 147,884,994 eligible drink containers returned since 1 May 2025 through the Recycle Rewards program.
A huge congratulations to Waratah-Wynyard, Derwent Valley, Devonport , Glenorchy and Sorell, which currently lead the state as Tasmania’s top five recycling councils based on average container returns per person.
And Dorset? We're proudly sitting in 7th place, with an impressive 354 containers returned per person. That's a fantastic result and a testament to our community’s commitment to reducing waste, keeping our environment clean, and supporting a more sustainable Tasmania.
