Dorset Council is inviting community groups and organisations to apply for funding through its 2026/27 Community Grants Program.
The program provides financial assistance to projects that deliver positive outcomes for the Dorset community and support local participation, development and wellbeing.
Three funding streams are available:
Small Grants – up to $2,000
Matching Grants – up to $15,000
Discretionary Grants – up to $15,000
Groups wishing to apply under any funding stream are required to first discuss their proposal with Council's Community & Development Administration Officer to determine project eligibility and feasibility.
Mayor Rhys Beattie encouraged community organisations to consider applying.
"Dorset Council is proud to support the valuable work undertaken by community groups across our municipality. These grants help bring local projects to life, strengthen community connections and enhance opportunities for residents," Mayor Beattie said.
Applicants are reminded to carefully review the relevant funding guidelines before submitting an application and ensure all requirements are met.
