The Tasmanian Government has advised Council that a new Child and Family Learning Centre will be constructed in Scottsdale, with works expected to commence in 2026. The proposed location for the facility is on the Scottsdale Primary School site.

Dorset Council has opened a newly completed amenities block at Eastmans Beach, Bridport today after a five-month construction period. The new and improved amenities building replaces a toilet block which was the oldest in the area and housed only a male and female toilet.
